stinga.com.au Back in Action!

G'day TSR supporters, our great apologies from the I.T. dept. of TSR. We have had some tech issues with the website and it has ended up taking some time to resolve. Much more complicated than a twin turbo V8, well for us anyway! Rest assured we have been quite busy in the meantime. Preparing the for world titles in a bit over a month, the NSW series, the H120 and the debut of the new look TSR 2 up team! Look out for the U19's class, because we have a feeling it is going to be strong, yet hard fought and highly competitive season with Ben Hackett & Jack Houston hanging out the back of "Stinga" taking on the best young men in the country. Definitely exciting times ahead. Check back soon as we will endeavour to upload more content. Great to be back online TSR fans! Can't wait to be back at the races!

"Stinga" Takes The 2010 Shootout!

Team Stinga Racing has today debuted our newest family member! The brand new Force F21s, which only touched the water for the first time last night for tuning, has taken out the 2010 Feros Hotel Group Bridge to Bridge Shootout. With preparations running right up untill the final minutes before the start, the uncertainty dissappeared as hopes and expectations rose. From the Grays point at Ebenezer after the first turn Greg, Kevin, Daniel and Grant were looking fast and comfortable in conditions that were near perfect! "Stinga" continued that pace to take the win by only a couple of seconds. The "new girl" has already taken her place amongst the TSR family and is looking strong for a serious assualt on the 2010 Feros Hotel Group Bridge. Big thanks to all our sponsors and others involved in helping Team Stinga Racing prepare  "Stinga" in time for todays race. Especially PFM's Mal Priest who has made a huge effort in this preparation. Tomorrow's race should be a cracker!

2010 Feros Hotel Group Sydney Bridge to Bridge

Unfortunately, this years Bridge to Bridge did not quite go to plan for Team Stinga Racing. After a promising performance in the shootout, the team were confident our new Force F21s would have the goods to help TSR keep the Bridge to Bridge trophy in the Hawkesbury. But this was not to be as a difficult day unfolded for the team that would see "Stinga" not even make it to Wisemans Ferry. "Stinga" got off to a strong start and as the field entered the river, we were hot on the heals of Hellrazor, who had taken the lead in the early stages. The remainder of the field were falling back and it looked like a two way dog fight would ensure. Just after Spencer, Grant Patterson had a fall and the 2010 Bridge to Bridge would be over for the team. As concerns moved in a split second from winning the race to the health and safety of one of our own, Greg, Kevin and Daniel (who swam at least 500m to get back to the team) returned to assist Grant, with Kevin jumping into the water for a substancial amount of time untill Grant was able to get into the boat. Grant has suffered some injuries to his hand and back but is recovering and i know that everyone at TSR is relieved that Grant's injuries were no worse. Get well Grunta and we all look forward to seeing you back around the boat.

Team Stinga Racing would like to thank all of the people on the River near Laughtondale as well as the Ambulance officers who helped us to get Grant off the river safely and especially our new mates who had a 4wd handy to get "Stinga" out of the river from Ricky Howards beach. And congratulations to the young bloke pictured below who was the first kid to get his photo taken in the new boat. Thanks again for all the help given to our team, very much appreciated!!

2010 Sydney Bridge to Bridge

Ladies and Gentleman, we are only a week away from the 2010 Sydney Bridge 2 Bridge! (click on the brochure for more details) TSR are in heavy preparation to defend our title and take an unprecedented 7th Bridge to Bridge title. The setup of the newest addition of the TSR fleet (our new Force F21s - shown below) is nearly complete and is ready to take over from "The legend" boat and continue the dynasty that was built on the back of the 21ft Connelly craft. Be sure to make it to Govenor Phillip Park, Windsor on the 20th and 21st of November to see if the new "Stinga" can fill the shoes of "The Legend" boat! Don't be afraid to come and have a peek and say hello to the team once they arrive at Windsor. TSR currently hold the record for the Sydney Bridge to Bridge, and if the conditions are right, will definately give the record a nudge down the 112km Hawkesbury River course from Danger Island to Windsor! See you all at the Bridge!
